A date of sale prior to 1933 is corroborated by Edoardo Arslan, «Per la definizione dell’arte di Francesco, Giannantonio e Niccolò Guardi», in Emporium (23/Dec.) 1944, p. 6, n. 11, fig. 7l, where Arslan mentions the painting as having been with Haberstock ca. a dozen years ago.
